What are the available sizes for LOCARTA sculptures?
We offer two distinct formats for our topographic reliefs:
• The Essential (15 x 15 cm): A compact, precise piece perfect for desks or shelving units.
• The Gallery Standard (20 x 20 cm): Our new museum-quality standard. It provides 75% more surface area than the 15cm version, allowing for significantly higher architectural detail and a more striking 3D effect.
Is the frame included?
You can choose to add a premium, minimalist gallery frame during the design process. We offer professional framing in matte black or refined white for a small additional fee. Every piece is designed to be displayed either in a frame on your wall or as a standalone sculptural object.
Can I choose any location in the world?
Absolutely. Our Atelier uses high-precision satellite data to generate 3D previews for any coordinate on Earth. From the Alps to the Himalayas, if it has a shape, we can craft it.
What material is used?
We utilize sustainable corn-starch based PLA. This eco-friendly material is biodegradable and provides a premium, matte-white ceramic feel. Our advanced processing captures even the finest ridge lines and architectural details with absolute fidelity.
Why do some buildings look less detailed?
Precision is our goal. However, if you select a very large area containing hundreds of buildings, the physical 3D printer may reach its resolution limits. For maximum architectural detail, we recommend choosing a smaller, more focused urban area.
What is the 'Heart Marker'?
The Heart Marker is a unique, handcrafted addition to your piece. It allows you to highlight a specific address or building that holds emotional value—such as your first home or the place you got engaged. The best part? The marker is removable, giving you the flexibility to display your relief with or without it whenever you like.
